Railroad District

Norfolk’s emerging Railroad District is one steeped in the city’s history, and poised to play a large part in its future. Along the N&W Railway in Park Place, the district’s comprised of notable Norfolk breweries, eateries, repair shops and offices. It’s a place that captures the culture of our city, and the perfect canvas for the 2019 Norfolk Street Museum.

  1. Where is the best place to park?

    Parking is free on-street throughout the district and at associated business lots. The Railroad District is also bike friendly and additional bike parking will be provided for this event.

  2. Is the the festival free and open to the public?

    Yes, the NFK Street Museum events are free and open to all.

  3. Is the festival family-friendly?

    The NFK Street Museum Mural Festival and Street Party has something for everyone including a dedicated Kid Zone with children’s activites and entertainment in the 757 Makerspace parking lot.

  4. What are the festival hours?

    The festival hours are from 2pm to 7pm.

  5. I’m an artist. Is there a way for me to participate?

    Murals artists have been selected but there’s still a few ways artists can get involved with this year’s festival. Email info@alchemynfk.com with links to your work for more information.

  6. Can I volunteer?

Norfolk Street Museum is an exhibition of curated art throughout the public areas of Norfolk, Virginia whose mission is to conserve, interpret, and exhibit collections of significant works from a broad range of cultures and historical periods.
